The Alpine Initiatives and Sherpas Cinemas have teamed up to create the Auclair Fund - an online auction (and donation page) to help JP’s family through tough times. 100% of the proceeds go to JP’s partner, Ingrid, and young son, Leo, in the wake of his tragic death in an avalanche. Direct donations are also being accepted.

New items including everything from photography equipment will be circulating in and out of the auction. Each item will be available for bidding for 7 days (168 hours). Artists and athletes who have committed to donating future items for bidding include: Jimmy Chin, Eric Hjorleifson, and Jon Olsson. Some of the first items up for auction include: a print of Ama Dablam taken by Dave Mossop during the making of his film “Into the Mind”, and a print of JP from the film “All.I.Can”

Alpine Initiatives (AI), which JP was a founder of, is set up to support the people and projects surrounding mountain communities. From AI:

AI began as a small group of inspired individuals with an impulse to give back and has grown into a brand and a movement. By purchasing AI merchandise, you are supporting on-going projects in mountain communities and showing your commitment to consciously improving your own.
