Starting in the fall of this upcoming school year, every 4th grader, and their family, will get a free National Parks pass. This would typically cost $80. His “Every Kid in a Park Pass” initiative, is timed with the 100th anniversary of the National Parks Service.

Announced in Chicago, those kids will have to drive 5 hours to Cuyahoga Valley National Park, 6 hours to Mammoth Cave National Park, or 8 hours to Isle Royale National Park.
