Maggie Voisin’s knee ends her season

Maggie Voisin, one of the youngest up and coming freeskiers of this year, has just suffered a season-ending knee injury at the 2014 Dew Tour.

Voisin had qualified in 1st place for the women’s slopestyle competition. During he first run of finals is where she took a fall and opted out of her first run. An MRI later confirmed she had torn her ACL.

The Dew Tour was just at the beginning of her competition circuit for this year after breaking her leg prior to Sochi last year. An ACL injury typically takes 6 months until the athlete can start thinking about returning to the slope, so hopefully Maggie will be ready by next season.

Earlier this year the Montana native signed with K2. Hopefully next year she will get to use those new planks.
